"Dr. Torres, Remarkable website. Great info, love the originality. Fun yet seriously informative with important details that are too often overlooked at many workshops & websites dedicated to airway management.
Looking forward to future posted updates, particulary your comparative perspective on the King Vision Scope video laryngoscopy."M. Fox of King Systems
"Dr. Torres' airway training combines a strong knowledge and passion for airway issues with a comforting and supportive learning environment. His method is built on teaching the fundamentals of airway management while encouraging innovation and supervised training with alternative devices. I can truly say that his suggestions and tricks have saved patient's lives when my colleagues could not manage a difficult airway. Dr. Torres' airway training has truly given me the confidence to tube, bougie, or trach past any set of cords that may come my way."
Those aren't just pretty words.....I can honestly say that I feel incredibly comfortable with even the ugliest anterior airway. I think about where my trach set is before I pick up my Mac (and sometimes Miller!) and always have my landmarks mapped. so far, so good."C. Spencer, MD: Former NYHQ EM resident, New York Presybterian EM Attending, International
EM Fellow 2011
"As you know, we all feel that the teaching you provided was extremely beneficial. From a personal standpoint, I know that my intubation skills improved with your guidance."M. Chand, MD: Current Pulmonary/ICU Fellow, New York Hospital Queens 2011
"Dr. Torres has great passion for difficult airway preparation and management. Thanks to his course and teaching I feel well prepared to handle difficult airway situations when they arise and I feel very comfortable with a wide variety of backup airway devices. Thanks Dr. Torres!!"D. Stites, MD: Former NYHQ EM resident, University of New Mexico EM Attending, EMS Directorship Fellow 2011
"As a former resident studying airway under Dr. Torres I feel I have learned a great deal. I learned not only the mechanics of intubation but the anatomy surrounding what I am doing. With the skills I received from his airway course I feel vastly ready for the "difficult airway" and prepared to try and not make it a "missed airway". When in difficult situations we are able to use either different techniques, different tools or "rescue oxygenation devices". Dr. Torres has always made learning interactive and interesting. He uses both video and hands on techniques in simulation labs before you are tested with the real thing. If you know him personally you know he is anything but mundane and I am fortunate to have been trained by him."N. Anaya: Former NYHQ EM Resident, Brookhaven Memorial EM Attending 2011

I am a new kid on the Block of airway gurus that exist. I am an educator, but not the best there is. Just one of many. Many schools exist, and you eventually join one of them. No SATs, or ACTs, GREs or MCATs required. Harvard is a good school. Brown and MIT are good as well. Go to anyone of them that you flunk out of, and you will do well in life. Anyone can be a fan of this site and learn, and become a student of this School of Airway. Only flunking that occurs is what happens with you and your patient after learning what you can learn from me and my Mentors(that have been referred to). You will decide which school appeals to you, and you learn the most from. Believe that.
