A New version of Gastric Diversion Impromptu
Literally I learned my greatest ignorance and patience in a semi-elective intubation of a head trauma patient with ongoing hemorrhage from pelvic fracture and the presumed full stomach.
I am glad I rehearsed gastric diversion before. But the abruptness of the awoken volcano that occurred with this patient forced me to become quicker on my feet that I was used to.
I took my favorite 8.0 Endotracheal tube and threw it in.
