Airway Case 1. Part 2. Positioning still Matters
Positioning still matters for Oxygenation, Ventilation. Look the ETCO2 monitor went from zero to 20s when connected to a Bag Mask Ventilator. Bagging up the patient who was obtunded and nearly apneic, was occurring. The patient had been completely supine and was ramped up by pulling the patient's head up to the edge of the stretcher. This was done with using gravity to my favor and placing the patient in Trendelenburg position. And then tilting up her head on the stretcher with the manual lever on the back of the bed. The Michael Shin Maneuver works.
Hmmm. Positioning works.
