Da Shin. Direct Laryngoscopy before Actual Intubation
Why not prove to the resident and yourself that the intubation is very doable? why not right after rsi medications kicked in? or even in the cardiac arrest, unresponsive patient, see what your resident will likey see when they try with the Macintosh or Miller Blade. You can even do the same with Video Laryngoscopy. Don't take the intubation away. That would be bad airway JuJu. You would easily lose the trust of your residents/students. Just reassure yourself taht the airway being intubated is intubatable.
